Hotel
We really missed hotels. Noisy receptions, crowded restaurants, sleepy coffee shops. The smell of carpet. Hot, heated elevators with fat buttons. Empty conference rooms.
Tired freshness.
How many people have walked these corridors, sat on these chairs, and slept on these beds? What were they thinking about? What were they experiencing? Were they happy?
The tired hotel remembers all of this.
The smell. All hotels smell different, but it's a recognizable hotel smell. A little bit of air freshener, a little bit of the smell from the restaurant, a little bit of the mechanical smell of the elevator, a subtle smell of the people who lived here before you.
Empty hotels miss people.
